IFRC transitional shelter working group

At the annual Federation Shelter Reference Group meeting hosted by the French Red Cross (April 2010), it was recommended that tried and tested transitional shelter designs be compiled. This booklet of designs would help to help accelerate decision making on shelter designs in future responses.

This book was compiled and edited by Joseph Ashmore and Corinne Treherne (IFRC). Arup International Department with the team members: Jo da Silva, Elizabeth Parker, Emily Roberts, Isobel Byrne Hill completed the shelter reviews.

This book was the output of the Transitional shelter Task Group of the Red Cross and Red Crescent. It is based on the projects and contributions from the following national societies:

Belgium Red Cross British Red Cross Canadian Red Cross
Finish Red Cross French Red Cross Haitian Red Cross
Italian Red Cross Myanmar Red Cross Netherlands Red Cross
Palang Merah Indonesia Pakistani Red Crescent Peru Red Cross
